Parades Commission Appointment Disgrace

It is with complete disbelief that we see the recent appointment of an IRA member onto the parades commission. This renowned terrorist, Spike Murray that has been appointed has a reputation which goes before him.

It would seem now that the people who murdered us on the streets are now to tell us what streets we are allowed to walk on. Instead of these individuals being appointed onto public bodies such as this and public office, they should be investigated as to their terrorist background.

We will certainly challenge this appointment as victims, even though our politicians think it is acceptable to sit down with killers in public office. This appointment will be tested though, for it cost many lives to secure freedom for people to walk the streets and now we have to ask permission of the terrorists who took those lives, to walk the streets ourselves. It seems we have given up that right of freedom and democracy largely due to the fear of terrorists. Once a terrorist, always a terrorist.
